Create a Super Bash Sisters roster! (2025)

Barring the Mario sister series and Pokemon, this represents most of the major franchises at the time. In the case of Peach and Zelda, I’ll reduce the amount of polygons for their dress, so that they can work as fighters. Lalala and Kat were added as they were the most feasible choices form their series. Armorless Samus is more or less a Jigglypuff type clone. Nana and Lip are interesting choices for more obscure games/franchises.

Birdo and Daisy were the most prominent girls in Mario after Peach. Captain Syrup gives us an antagonist. Adeline was in Kirby 64. Pokemon now have genders, and I’ll give signifiers for these pokemon. Ayumi is the next obscure fighter chosen. For the Legend of Zelda, I’ll add Marin added as she were important characters in her game, and Sheik had masculine pronouns used in OoT. Just to give DKC another character, Tiny Kong is added.

I don’t think there were any super complex characters in my alternate Melee, so Everyone Is Here lasts another game. Most of the newcomers were pretty relevant at the time of their addition: Tetra, Toadette, Tetra, Dark Samus, Lyn, Mona, Lucario, Kumatora. Chun-Li would be the first party as she was the first woman in a fighting game. Sami, Villager, and Jenna are there to add new franchises to the roster. Pokemon Trainer is a cool idea, so I’m keeping her, and Leaf is the default. As more biased picks, Nino and Vivian were added.

In terms of cuts, I’d say that only Dark Samus, Kumatora, Ivysaur, and Squirtle need to be cut. After cutting these characters, I kept the most of canon For newcomers barring Robin as they were relevant, and Rosalina and Wii Fit Trainer are interesting surprises. I went with Lucina over Robin as Marth isn’t in, making Lucina a more distinct fighter. As the Namco character, I went with Nina from Tekken as I already had a fighting game character, and Ms. Pacman is a licensing nightmare. Isabelle joins as New Leaf came out around the time of planning. Wendy is a fun choice, so she stays. Impa represents Skyward Sword. Brittany from Pikmin as added to give Pikmin its first fighter. To make room for Brittany, Wii Fit Trainer is moved to DLC. For clones, I went with simple choices in Pink Gold Peach and Medusa. For additional DLC, I went with Dark Samus and Kumatora as returning veterans, Cammy was added as Street Fighter is important, and she’s a recurring character, Yuna is my preferred FF character, Shantae is assumed to be requested, and Corrin is a promotional choice like in the real games.

Inkling and Incinoroar stay for similar reasons. Midna and Ashley were requested, so they join. Amy and Pretty Bomber are added to give Sonic and Bomberman fighters. Viridi is a for fun addition. Ann and Athena are chosen to maintain Persona and SNK characters. Chell seems like an interesting idea, so she joins. Edelgard is a house leader, so I‘ll add her, and Tifa more or less takes Sephiroth’s old role. Arle joins in Kazuya’s old spot as I already added a Tekken fighter, and Puyo Puyo was still relevant. There’s no sixth fighter in FP2 as Sora was a very unique circumstance, and I don’t know who‘d even be in his place.
